Dubbonet Cocktail recipe

A vintage recipe, the history of which is shrouded in mystery. It is difficult to even determine the country of origin. The original combination of flavoured wine and juniper gin is balanced by a touch of lemon acidity. Dry and strong, the drink possesses invigorating freshness and a citrus aftertaste. Perfect for lovers of unsweetened cocktails.

Ingredients for 1 portion
Essential:

45 ml (1 and 1/2 fl oz) gin
45 ml (1 and 1/2 fl oz) red flavoured wine
10 ml (1/3 fl oz) lemon juice
Lemon zest to taste
Ice cubes to tasty

Method
1. Add all the ingredients and ice to a shaker. Shake well.
2. Fill a glass with ice.
3. Strain the cocktail into the glass.
4. Garnish with a lemon zest.
