Watch Before Drinking Saké

You will be shocked when you open the menu of an izakaya (Japanese style bar) to try some saké in Japan.Because just like wine or whiskey, there are eight different types of saké, thousands of different brands, and they are all enjoyed at different temperatures. You will have no idea which one to order.

For beginners, cold junmai saké is recommended. Junmai sake has a low milling ratio, a clean taste, and no added brewing alcohol, making it easy to drink. In addition, cold sake has a less distinctive flavor, making it a good choice for first-timers. But of course, this is based on my experience and research. Asking the waiter for their recommendation is also a good idea.

The management (filming, editing, etc.) of the new Asayama Ichiden Ryu’s English Channel “Let’s ask Seki Sensei” is completely my voluntary work. If I am not able to pay for the expensive bullet train fare from Kyoto to Ibaraki Prefecture (where the main Dojo is located), and hotel/filming expenses, this activity will cease. Please help us spread and preserve this 400-year-old martial art. In return, I will try my best to create the most educational and exciting content about Japanese Kobudo.
