Why make wine in an Amphora? Fred of Domaine de l’Ecu answers.

Wines made in Amphora are grabbing the attention of winemakers in many areas, and Fred Niger is diving in at Domaine de L’Ecu. Amphora are vessels made of clay, it gives a lot of potassium to the wine, it also is characterized for being easy to drink and good for digestion. The shape of the amphora is round, this makes the wine run in circles during the fermentation process.
