“I Hate the Term ‘Winemaker'”

Dr. Franz Werner Michel of Weingut Domdechant Werner in the Rheinghau region of Germany explains his basic philosophy at the estate where his family has produced Riesling since 1780. Dr. Michel is a former director at Guisenheim University and the first President of Wines of Germany. He sat down with Ask a Winemaker in his home in May 2013 thanks to the support and coordination of Wines of Germany.
