Pinot Blanc, One of the World’s Most Under-Appreciated Wines

Pinot Blanc goes by a variety of names, it varies on location around the world. Most versions are similar to Chardonnay, but in many cases, more lifted aromatics. Most versions are not oak aged, they are all about bright primary fruit character. Within Alsace, excellent examples can be had for very reasonable prices, usually among the least pricey for most any Alsatian wine producer.
Look for a vintage than is no more than three years old.
