The Bordeaux Wine Classification of 1855

The Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855 was established by Napoleon III to establish a ranking of the best wines in Bordeaux. David Launay, formerly of Gruaud Larose, a classified Second Growth in Saint-Julien explains the system.

David Launay was the Commercial Director at Château Gruaud-Larose in St.Julien, Bordeaux for 12 years.
