Mint Wine Recipe: How to Make Mint Wine at Home

Learn how to start making wine at home. This is my mint wine recipe, made from mint growing in my garden. I packed a pint glass twice over for the required mint, then added to water brought to a simmer (5 litres for a 4.5 litre batch or a gallon for imperial folk), then added sugar and dissolved. Add the juice of two lemons and remove from heat. once cooled add the yeast.

on my first racking it tasted like Cider and had an ABV of 5.25% on the second racking it tasted like a lovely fizzy white wine and was at 7.09%

I’m looking forward to seeing how this turns out once it clears and has finished fermentation!
